ResiliSafe, a science-based technology startup working to strengthen resilient safety culture, took part in the final pitch of Cocreation Lab SINOVA UFSC on October 22, 2026. Held at TXM Methods, the event provided an opportunity to present the startup's digital solution for supporting safety management in complex hospital systems.

From doctoral research to a startup

ResiliSafe grew out of doctoral research conducted by Dr. Tamires Fernanda Barbosa Nunes at the Graduate Program in Production Engineering (PPGEP) at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). The research inspired an initiative to turn scientific knowledge into technology that addresses the everyday challenges faced by healthcare organizations.

Grounded in how work actually takes place, ResiliSafe combines a scientific foundation with a digital platform that brings professionals' perspectives together in information that managers can readily use. This approach helps organizations understand their working conditions more fully, recognize priorities and make better-informed decisions.
